Portsoy is a small town built around two harbours, including the 17th Century Old Harbour which is the perfect location for spotting the famous Moray Firth dolphins, porposes and occasional minke whale. It also boasts stunning sunsets and visitors may also be lucky enough to see the spectacular Northern Lights in the winter months.

Portsoy is also home to the popular annual Scottish Traditional Boat Festival and lively HAAL Music Festival.

Getting Here

Portsoy is only 50 miles and an hour’s drive from Aberdeen and 65 miles from Inverness, both of which have good airport and rail connections.  Portsoy itself is accessible by car and a regular bus service operated by Stagecoach.

A free public car park is located to the front of the Boyne Hotel and plenty street parking is also available.
